New Bomb Turks

What's your favourite album by them? I don't know much of their most recent stuff apart from a few tracks, but the Drunk On Cock ep and Information Highway Revisted are ace. Poll on the way.

I had an album of their's, but it was so dull I can't even remember what it was called.

Toilet & Bowels 04.24.2007 05:22 AM

man, i haven't heard that band in years, about 10 years ago i bought an album by them based on a review and i thought it was ok, but i haven't listened to it since probably since that summer, i'll dig it out.

sarramkrop 04.24.2007 05:24 AM

Which one of is that?
Edit - Pookie

They're pretty good. Their label, Hearhead records has some good punk bands. Check them out.

I have many tracks on compilations & a couple of split singles, and they sound pretty good, but I bought Scared Straight (thanks Amazon), and it's just really lame.

pokkeherrie 04.24.2007 05:29 AM

i've seen them live once when i was 16 or so... also have one album, but i don't think i've listened to that in about 10 years or so.

odd choice for a poll if i might say so... i didn't know they were still around.

edit: information highway revisited is the one i have, in case you'd care to know.

I think that's an excellent record, not great but very good. They've always seemed to have a habit to drop their best songs on compilations rather than the albums.

Tokolosh 04.24.2007 05:37 AM

I saw them when they toured in '93 with SNFU and Propagandhi.
I'll vote for !!Destroy-Oh-Boy!!
Good album.

jon boy 04.24.2007 05:49 AM

votes are rolling in like crazy!
i was about to vote as well but i'm affraid krop won't be able to keep up with counting them.

sarramkrop 04.24.2007 06:04 AM

It's my most unpopular poll of all the time. I can't think of anyone who started a more unpopular one right now.

pokkeherrie 04.24.2007 06:15 AM

well i just voted (even though i've only heard one album), so that's four now... that's not too bad, is it?

Your polls are better than mine, so you should start one. My most popular ones are those that even i thought were rubbish.

You spoke too soon.:o

Everyneurotic 04.24.2007 09:43 AM

i heard one of their songs in one of those punkorama comps from the 90's and i really liked what i heard, then i got destroy oh boy and was different from that song but actually it was more punk than garage which i think is great.

it's a band you can't get too excited about but are good, in my opinion.
