WOLF EYES - River Slaughter
 

first ever double LP from wolf eyes out now on Hospital productions. Anyone heard this shit? Saw copies at the merch stall at subcurrent but decided to hear some reviews before I part with my sixteen quid, y'know?

Man I hope that makes it to Australia some time soon, or I'll probably just pick it up in June when my band Onani gets to play support for them in Sydney (insert happy emoticon).

Keep an eye out in the current months for the Wolf Eyes/Grey Daturas Split CD. I think its coming out on a new Australian record label called Heathen Skulls.

I just got the River Slaughter double LP and it is awesome. Its the best non-fists-in-the-air-nate-screaming Wolf Eyes I have heard. Spooky dronescape type stuff, no vocals or beats. All four sides are awesome and I really like the packaging too.

I've heard they are doing another Sub Pop Album, that shit will be unreal!!

Wolf Eyes on Hospital productions. did not know that. nice. I knew Wolf Eyes have a split recrod with Prurient alright.

I'm listening now. It's OK. Quite understated and very minimal, reminds me of Dead Machines/New Blockaders.

I'd go see them again if they came through my area. It's been a while for me as well. A decade at least. I think I saw them once more after they opened for Sonic Youth on the Nurse tour. So... yeah. Been a minute.

Now I'm in the mood to listen to Fuck Pete Larsen.

I've seen them about a dozen times now. One of my favourite live acts, you never know what exactly you'll get, but it will be strange and good.
