I always hear "guy" instead of "guide" even though I know it is guide. Completely changes the meaning of the song.

I was singing in my worst Morrisey falsetto in my car when my roommate said, "What did you say?" I knew I was right, so I told him, "Now I know that I'm adopted...." OOPS!

When I was a kid I always thought Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" was called "Even though".

Off that last Joanna Newsome record there's a song about a Meteorite or something and I thought she was singing about 'media rights'...

I remember reading about Megadeath (or some metally band like that)recording a version of Anarchy in the UK and instead of singing the line 'another council tenancy' sang it as 'and other cunt like tendencies'. Having never heard this version I couldn't say whether it's true or just some bit of pop music myth. But it's certainly amusing.
