The version from the Holsten Pils ad about drink-driving, i can just about smile at, but i gotta agree with MellySingsDoom there.

there's nothing wrong with being a rip off comedian if you're still funny. bill hicks and latter day george carlin are not that different but no one claims that bill hicks ripped off carlin. also steven wright and mitch hedberg are earily similar but who the hell is going to claim to not like mitch hedberg because he's a rip off? he's still damn funny

Denis Leary wasn't funny. The thing is also he kind of just ripped the soul out of Bill Hicks and left the tough guy shit, Leary was hack, his jokes sucked. Man I hate Denis Leary. Most comedians today either rip of good ole' Richard Pryor or Bill Hicks.
