It doesn't say he invented serialism in as many words, "He led the post-serial avant-garde...[he] developed the idea* of serialism" which is pretty accurate.
It's an interesting read, but I got the impression that the German > English translation was a little iffy - 'his daily break' should probably read 'his daily bread' [etc]. I imagine at some point in the next 50+ years of my life I'm going to spend a week or so watching Licht. It's nice to have something to look forward to. Perhaps I should watch it back to back with the Ring, that'd be exciting/ masochistic.
