Nels CLine w/Wilco on Jools Holland Now!
i've just been watching later with jools holland and was i surprised to see nels cline on stage w/ wilco in jools' introduction.
thought i'd let the UK boardies know about this one! |
Ive gone off Later recently, i dont know if its due to the general lack of good "indie" music thats on there, but i remember when The Arcade Fire were first on there and it absolutely blew me away. Hasnt been very good so far this run but who knows.

Later is gash and Jules Holland is a smug, unbearable cunt.

^^^^yeah but some times a gem comeson like grinderman last week.....
forgot about this show, lcd soundsystem were on it too right??? the new wilco album is very dissapointing at best. i have only managed to sit through 5 tracks so far without reaching for the off button..... |

I thought Grinderman were sort of lame to be honest. |
yeah, i was dissapointed with wilco when watching them last night.
i was expecting something innovative, or at the very least, interesting, due to nels' involvement, however they seemed like your bog standard alt. country group. the only reason i kept watching was that i guess i still had a faint spark of hope that nels was going to do something interesting with his guitar but it was not to be., |

Totally agree with that! |
I haven't been following Jools Holland this season. Last season was quite unimpressive. It seems he's pandering to an NME audience these days.. Razorshite, The Kooks, etc..
I didn't even think to watch it last night. Bummer. |
Yeah i can see why people hate Jools himself, i loved when The Fall were on a couple of years ago and Mark E Smith apparently put a "no Boogie-woogie" clause in the contract to ensure he wouldnt start to jam on the piano.
