There is a theory about humans and robutts, and humans and CGI, it's the idea that we recognize that they look human, but the differences still alienate us from seeing them as human and life like, realistic, there are subtitles to our behavior and appearance that are as of right now beyond are ability to successfully emulate. The eyes and general posture and fluid movement being the most difficult. This is a game coming out for PS3 called Heavy Rain that is doing the most to cross the gap of the valley of disbelief, it's simply fucking amazing, and you all need to check it out, watch the HD version so you can catch all the subtleties.

Wow! That changes my thoughts on the PS3 a bit

It's progress but it's still a bit stiff. What the hell is the game going to be about though?

The body movements were good, but the mouth really threw me off.

Characters don't have to look all that real for me. I get sucked in to worlds easily because I have imagination. Although, in Half-Life 2 the scene in which Alyx presses her hand against the glass elevator door and tells you to take care of yourself and has the look on her face like she is never going to see you again blew my mind.

but other than its looking pretty rad, i think MGS4 however is going to be one of the better games on the PS3, maybe not 100% real looking as they have said its not what they want, but the game play plus their graphics will make an amazing experience:D

I think what's the most signifigant about this clip, is that it is good acting coming from a charcter being rendered in a real time enviorment. And in regards to the lips, this video is over a year old, and they said that was one of the things they were still wyrking on, so suspect the fall 2008 finished product to be amazing. (SUBERSIVE ACTIVE MARKETING WHORE!) Pattern Recognition.

my computer is being a fuck lips and isnt giving me sound today, so i wasnt able to hear her speak which im sure adds to the effect of it looking and sounding great

Eyes and forehead are really nice, mouth, forearms and hands are still too fake/stiff. But it's nice. That Reactable video is great, as always.
