But did you really win it in the end? Cause it sure as hell sounds like you bought it.

Sonic Youth 37 06.19.2007 10:31 PM

Bought it, won it. Whatever. I'm paying 14.50 for one a 15.51 for the other

Alex's Trip 06.19.2007 10:32 PM

I just thought it was kind of funny...

"Hey guys! I won a dinner at this new restaurant! It cost 20 bucks!"

Sonic Youth 37 06.19.2007 10:33 PM

Yeah, I couldn't pass them up. I'm interested in what I can do with the flange

CHOUT 06.20.2007 02:40 AM

Yeah, good prices...I recently got a DOD bass Overdrive at a pawnshop...it does the job...I've heard good things about that flanger if it's the model they were talking about.

king_buzzo 06.20.2007 02:46 AM

I know this guy, he SWEARS on the DOD250 preamp. Its kinda funny. Yeah I head that DOD flangers are awesome as well...

I got a DOD 515-A Sustainer from a pawnshop for $20 about a year ago. It's one of the early 80s models. It works fantastic and sounds great. The only problems are it's missing the battery cover and it takes 2 9-volts.

Here's one of them on Ebay:

Update:

I got the Flanger today.

Airplane interlude here I come!

(although I won't be doing in too loud until I get some earplugs)

Another update:

This thing is great!! I am amazed at the sounds I can get out of it. Lets just say that my combo of this, my trem pedal, my comp pedal and my wah, I can cover just about every 8-bit video game sound, cheesey UFO and 50's Horr sounds, and a 747 coming in for a landing

CHOUT 06.23.2007 09:40 PM

Glad you like it. Post some sounds of it if/when you can.

I will do that, I'm going to use it on She Is Not Alone for the Gossip Tribute.

I'll post some when I get back from college orientation.

:D Yeah I was gonna say that. Even eBay lists it as "Items I won"

_slavo_ 06.24.2007 04:44 AM

I've got the same flanger and it's great!!!

My boss gave it to me cause we both share love with indie rock so he feels he's got a connection with me. :)
