i think this is one of those songs where you give up trying to know what the lyrics are and just invent your own to suit how the song makes you feel. Often i find those kinda songs can be the best songs.
Not this one though, i prefer Only Shallow.

yeah i agree. It's an awesome song, but others beat it.

The Valentines are one of those bands that treat lyrics more as a sonic, rather than literary tool. Similar to the Cocteau Twins or - to an even more explicite degree - Sigur Ros. There's very little worth deciphering in their lyrics beyond the fact that they're largely preoccupied with typically blissed out imagery.

...and see how the angry polemnicising of early Napalm Death lyrics all meld into one RrrrRRRAAAAGGHH!

as a guitar/noise/shoegaze nerd, i guess i should like loveless more, but goddammit if the songs aren't as strong on loveless as they are on isn't anything... "feed me with your kiss" is probably the best grunge (listen to it! it's grunge!) song ever written.

and continuing with my theory that most band's eps are better than their full lengths, you made me realize is my all time fav mbv release. just solid gold.

yeah the EP's are better. I need them in original, i only have them burnt. Loveless is pretty cool but the EP's have a much rawer sound.

yeah, loveless is just too much of a fucking wash for my tastes.. better to do drugs to, but .. when i want some mbv, i put on isn't anything or you made me realize.. glider and tremolo have some good shit on em too.

I need tremolo. Glider is okay, just not as good as You Made Me Realise. And I prefer the B side of Isn't Anything.
