You have a finely-tuned sense of irony.

I hope.

I don't like it, but prefer it to the other 'classic' albums so far (that's the ones I've heard).

I have a weird thing about this album. It was played a fair bit by my dad and I ended up liking it a lot. In a drunken lapse of logic recently I bought a copy for myself. Listening to it again I got the obvious nostalgia rush but pretty soon found myself getting annoyed by what amounts to the vast wall of production that stood between the songs and my ears. It's like listening to music through frosted glass.

yes, this album is crap but i like mark knofler's guitar playing.

HairwayToSteven 07.02.2007 04:27 PM

Why this album deserves a "classic album" thread, I don't know.

is this the one with Walk Of Life on it? Fucking great track. Makes me feel like line-dancing

I thought they didn't do irony in the north.

Not since Thatcher. She destroyed the Irony industry and, with it, the Steely.

You woke up just to provide that excruciating pun. I hope it was worth it when you're dropping off midway through telling some old lady if she can afford some more knitting wool on her pension.
