Shnizzle new album #1: Raccooo-oo-oon's Behold Secret Kingdom
![]() Anyway, local noise boys (Iowa City) make good. Anyone else familiar? |
Yes, this is an ace, ace record. Check out their Mythos Folkways records if you like the free-er side of their stuff. All their records are great.

Will do. There stuff's a little hard to find in the stores, oddly enough, even in their home town. I might have to do some online ordering. I like this record more and more each time I play it.
Maybe it's the influence of the cover, but it has this odd Blair Witch vibe. That lost in the woods feeling and your mind is going. |
I'm going to check them out next weekend, I think.
Should be pretty great if the recordings I've heard are any indication. |
I havent heard this band before, but ill check this record out some time, it sounds great.

excellent band
|
ohh, i thought i had posted already.
i'm getting behing on my 'ccoo-oo-oon shopping list, i need to get more of their stuff, i'm still stuck (and stoked) on cave of spirits forever. |
this album's good, the only thing i've heard by them. but isn't that just about the worst band NAME ever? i know it doesn't matter but geesh..
|
Excellent album and a great live band as well. I don't have the vinyl version though, but the CDR version they sold on tour prior to the LP release. But I guess the contents are the same.
The only other one I heard is Is Night People and that's nowhere near as good. |
They're often lumped into the Local/Midwest section at record shops here, but I've yet to actually hear them.
|
good stuff!

Yes. I hate it myself. And when I DJ and try to enter it into the database, there are always glitches because I invariably spell it wrong. |
