what do i get my new friend for her birthday, she is only just a recent friend but we are both social retards and shy so we get along really well and its like we have been friends for a long time, she has asked me to hang with her on her birthday, so what do i get her?:confused::)

well she is into music and arts, i do kinda fancy her but im just going with what ever happens, and it would be nice if she liked me, so far i have crashed at her place twice but nothing has happened between us.

Then you could get her a book about an artist she likes?

i hate giving gifts, i like making people happy but i dont like being around when they look at it or be thankfull for it..its weird

i dont want to give her something thats to much of a close friend gift.but i dont want to be cheesey.

It's like how it's so annoying when people give you so much attention on your birthday. I hate that feeling.

I say get her something like a gift certificate to a record shop or art store, plain and simple. Or you could go further and get her a good book like laile said. If her birthday's next month sometime, you can wait and get her an audrey kawasaki print on wood for her wall (they're only about $30.00 when they're freshly released).

I may have, but I don't remember making one. She's one of my favorites, I nearly bought one of her pieces last month because it was $35.00. If you sign up to her mailing list, and be the first to order them, they're well worth it!

only because i've been eyeing two right now that i have to have.
also, if she loves reading, the best art books are awesome in the text department.

whoa. i am exactly the same...and same with inhuman too, i hate my birthday and how people pay so much attention to you and i feel like i should be saying speeches all day....

i just feel so awkward when they get so happy and thank u and hug and bla bla, just makes me feel uncomfortable
and same with the birthday thing, even when i love the gift i dont know how to react to it.

yeah it can be awkward sometimes. but shit.. i wouldn't mind getting a few gifts lately. haha.

i get so scared when i feel its a CD inside the wrapping, i get all nervous and stressed because i have no idea how to react if it was a limp bizkit album

Oh man, if people insist on getting me albums, I reccommend to them beforehand to give me money for albums instead. And no gift certificates to HMV or musicworld either, I hate those fucks. This year I'm just asking everyone to either give me artwork or donate to a charity or both.
