Misguided associations
Why do people generally associate discipline and order with anything nazi-like or fascistic? Well, I know the answer, thanks, but why do you think it does happen? You know, whenever someone wishes for some order to take place, they generally get accused of this or that: ''Oh you're a conservative, a fascist etc etc''. It is annoying when those very same people who throw accusations so easily are melonheads with no brains and not an ounce of noble morals to speak of.

Yes, I think the buzz term for the fallacy is argumentum ad nazium.
I believe it happens when people are too lazy or ignorant to argue their points and just appeal to the emotions with some innane comparison. Nazis are the easiest but Soviet Russia, 1984, the slave-owning plantation owner are also examples. It is crowd-following logic. |
I blame it all on the fucking HIPPIES

I want a basement dungeon so bad!! hell, I'd be happy with a normal basement that I can pretend is my dungeon! oh, the treats!! on topic: I think people use nazi/fascist as a means of deflecting their own inability to follow rules/respect others. as a former forum admin, my ALL-TIME favorite username to use was Fascist Bastard. three cheers for iron firsts!!! |
