anyone seen that animal collective song featured on some crayon commercial? i saw it a few months ago, it's probably on youtube or something..

almost as bizarre as that evens video for that song about vowels which has ian mackaye dancing around with little kids and going "the letter a! the letter e! the letter i! the letter o! the letter u! these are 5 important letters!!!!!!!!!!"

Never saw the draw about them. Of course, I do generally avoid the so-called "indie folk pop" like the plague. Guess they're like the Grateful Dead/Phish variant for the indie scene?

haha. yeah go to an animal collective show thinking you're going to see some "indie folk pop", that'll be a bad trip.

i could see the grateful dead analogy though. the music is nothing like it, but the atmosphere is there.

best live act there is right now.

animal collective are amazing. guess some people don't appreciate good melodies, song structures, and harmonies.
