Presumably tickets haven't exactly been selling like the proverbial hot cakes. Hopefully it won't just be me and 100 guitarists there though.

By the way, if you want to get two tickets for the price of one, that's only available through seetickets.

yeah, i was surprised when they said he was playing the roundhouse, it's a pretty big venue for a fairly obscure dude. i haven't decided if i'm going yet as he's playing twice at ATP.

I suppose you're going to need a pretty big venue to cope with the sound of 100 guitars being played at once though.

I saw him at the Barbican about ten years ago, and the ground floor was barely sold out if I remember right. They didn't even bother selling tickets for the rest of the hall. Hopefully Frieze are getting some sort of a grant from someone to make up for any losses though lack of ticket sales, but it would be a shame if a half-empty venue ending up meaning that Branca decided not to bother with the UK any more.

I think that Frieze get some money from the Arts Council.

Toilet & Bowels 10.03.2007 04:12 AM

i'm sure frieze must be swimming in money anyway

Damn, wish I'd known about that ticket offer. Bought 3 tickets last week directly from the roundhouse website.

Saw Symphony 10 performed in Cardiff in '94 as part of contemporary music network tour. There was only about 100 in the audience. I think Branca is probably used to small audiences.

If i was in London etc...
But yeah the Roundhouse is really big, i imagine its not been selling well if theres a 2 for 1
