i really dont understand why this band are being given such a big second album push, far as i recall the first one wasnt much of a success.

Well, they must be getting desperate if they dare enter this bitchfest to promote their future material. Aren't they some Americans from Manchester, or something like that?

They are, unfortunately, a real band, yes. An NME powered combo of non-threatening proportions. People who are stuck in grungeland, even though they weren't even born at the time Nirvana were smashing drum kits. Sad.

I refuse to become interested, but spawning mutant creatures sounds like my kind of party.

they are not american, they are just a bunch of kids from manchester, they were doing okay then their lead singer man got Mumps and they had to stop touring.
I've seen them a few times, twice accidentally. They are nice enough guys, the lead guy (the one with Mumps) is a really big sonic youth fan, which is probably why they are promoting themselves here.

I quite liked the singles Not Everyone and Shot Down, and the first LP was OK. I haven't heard the new stuff though.

The View? You really dont want to know, but they arent from London and have reassuringly rough Scottish accents... however they are really really boring.

i used to know the singer slightly as we are from the same place. terrible band though.
