What's the strangest medical problem you've ever had?

I personally can't think of any, because I'm the paradigm of human perfection, body and mind.

But what's wrong with the rest of you weird bastards?

I got the chicken pox when I was 27.

i had small scars all over my body.. i didn't know what to make of it.. went to the doctor, and he got confused and decided to consult an elder colleague..

the older doc just looked at me and said it was a minor infection that spread throughout the skin.. he commented that it was fairly common for babies with their weak immune systems..

he said, "well, you could be considered a baby too.."
i was 25 at the time and showed my age...

when was early teenager, once came needle out of elbow. no idea how it got into my body.

That is crazy.

i suffer from chronic priapism. :o

Did anyone else read that in a slightly different way?

I have a hammer toe as well. It's quite rare.

Maybe not strange but definitely unusual (and very painful):

I got out of bed in the middle of the night and fainted, hitting my head off the sharp bit of a doorhandle and the top of my right ear was hanging off. I got fifteen stitches to sow it back on and five stitches in my head.

I got a piece of stake caught in my throat and it lodged into my chest for five days. I couldn't eat and I could barely keep a sip of water down for these five days. They eventually sent me to hospital, put me under anasthetic and shoved a tube down my throat to suck out the piece of meat.

I thought you meant a piece of "STAKE," like a metal spike, not "steak," like meat!

Oh yeah, I meant steak. Why do I only misspell simple words when I post on message boards with hundreds of people reading them???
