The opening OPX LP8 - MY CAT IS AN ALIEN / TEXT OF LIGHT "Cosmic debris" split ART-LP Vol.1 will be available in late May/ early June 2006. The following volumes will come out as bimonthly releases.
A following re-issue of the series on regular CD format is already planned.

damn... i really want one.
but no doubt just like the "from the earth to the spheres" series those are going to cost lots of $$$.

i guess i'll have to wait for the cd re-issue.

well, i recommend if you want this bad enough that you'll have to scope around misc. shops and online to get a copy and keep tabs on this because these are all limited edition LPs (for this series and particular vol. only 100 copies available!) otherwise it will start to get very pricey and or harder and harder to get a hold of... otherwise you'll be forced to opt for the cd reissue in which even some of those are hard to come by.

is anyone going for vinyl? cd reissuse is good enough for me until i get an actual job...

how big was edition of Thurston Moore/MCIAA than? i think bigger. i was able to buy it in the shop (which was really great) no problem. It's a pitty that is such a limited edition. so morelikely you wont see it in shops. also, get it online must be fast decision buy or not to buy, i'd say.

This thing will start to get pricey as soon as it hits the shops. A unique Polaroid and an acrylic painting on canvas? It'll be $60+...probably nearer $100 even. Weren't the spheres ones about that?

greenlight, you mean the CD version, right? you probably shouldn't have much of a problem finding that. but the LP releases of everything in the "from the earth to the spheres" series were limited to a 100 copies, just like this new series. i think the "spheres" LPs costed around $100 indeed...
i just hope they release the CD version soon after it and not much later.

sorry i was confused, didn't realize scotty's talking about vinyl, you're right i ment cds. thanks god i'm not vinyl collector. i would be very pleased to find (at least) cd in shops. in case of thurston moore it was clear for merchandiser here, in one of the dublin's music shop get it and put it into the sonic youth section. don't know if he's aware about any connection between sy and text of light. i'll point it out to him when i'll go there, hehe, yes.
