did anyone see this on the X-Games last night?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KBvCrSjpx9I
I have never seen a skateboard accident this bad, and he walked away! |
o, oo, ooo, ooo oooolé!
|
wow, I didn't know the x-games were still around. i thought everything being "x-treme" was soooooooo 90's.
|
hi shoes were blasted off!
|
That shit was insane I felt so bad for the dude. I just can't believe the shit continued afterward & how shook I would have been if I was Bob Burnquist. I felt like no one should earn a victory due to someone getting injured/hurt.
|
yeah that was crazy. he was in first place until Burnquist went right after that.
|
people still skateboard?
(i hope homeboy is alright, pretty long fall.) |
The X-Games themselves are purely an advertising event. The skaters are forced to stand in front of a camera and drink from Monster energy drink bottles after every run. It is bullshit.
They also got rid of the "best trick" competition because watching a guy attempt a crazy trick 20 times and failing makes for bad TV and bad advertising revenue. that guy is going to have massive internal injuries, spinal contusions, probably a broken coccyx and maybe a headache that will last a lifetime. |
can you imagine being his mom and dad watching this thing? Their worst nightmare come true.

Agreed!!! I was looking for something to watch with my housemates & X-Games seemed like the only thing Until, I saw that & then saw Bob all happy about taking first. |

the guy can make a career out of this viral video if his management is smart... |
Wow... that is morbid.
|
God damn, I've been watching it repeatedly on tv all day. At least he got silver.
|
"I can't beleive he landed the 720." Fuck you Tony Hawk, fuck you.
|
I saw that dude skate at Tampa Pro, he's damn good.
Take the X out!@!1!!!!$@#%$ |
She broke her coccyx. Haha.
|
Eh, I've seen worse.
:) |
his liver is still bleeding.
|
what gets me is that he fell from essentially the height of a 5-6 story building. Part of skating is that whole "suck it up, whatever happens you walk it off" mentality, and if they (the producers and advertisers and companies that run these things) claim these are world caliber athletes they would have properly restrained his spine and neck just to be safe and taken him in an ambulance.

I would agree, I would've carried him away on a stretcher . Who know what sorta injuries that guy aquired. |
