i cannot find this movie ANYWHERE, and i want to see it.

I've watched it many times and I like it a lot. This is the most obvious thing that anyone will ever tell you, but get the book because it is even better.

Everything sarram said, basically.

It should be pretty easy to track down a DVD but the orig. book 'H' is the way to go. Last I saw, the real Christiana was a youth TV presenter and minor pop star in Germany in the 80s. And a beautiful one, at that.

This made me think, have you guys ever took pics "re-enacting" scenes from movies in places where movies were shot? Like, a friend of mine took a pic in paris in the cafè where amelie goes in the movie (not a great choice, but it was just to explain what I meant...)...I'd open a thread on this, but I can't even explain what I mean in a post, let alone writing an understandable thread title.

actually someone did have an idea of taking some pics but nothing ever came of it and the places have changed now. the zoo has always been strange and its still got its sleazy parts for sure but that kind of stuff has moved to kotbusser tor, gorlitzer bahnhof and parts of schoneberg.

if you'd rather not rent by mail i'd suggest going to kim's video near columbia when you get back to nueva york (i think it's broadway and 110). they are bound to have pretty much everything.

i'd rather not watch movies online/downloaded because dvd is compressed from film and online is compressed from dvd and the quality suffers. i'd save this only for desperate cases where you can't really find it (which is not the case here).

lovely movie by the way. it makes me fucking sad though.
