seriously, if you have insomnia these guys will cure it. totally soothing. kinda like post-rock jazz noir. they're seriously out there.

better than Mazzy Star???, they are my "i can't sleep" music.

I'd say so, but the vocals are hard for some to adjust to. I think of Dead Science as something like if U.S. Maple reworked some ballads by Prince. That drummer is amazing.

very much agreed. i think people either hate or like that guy's vox. in my case i absolutely love it. especially on their EP bird bones.

all i know is they did a split with xiu xiu and i had the chance to see them a year ago but couldn't.

i put out that 7" on the label i do, deathbomb arc. ive been a dead science fan for a while and was really stoked about that 7" because i knew people would actualy buy it with xiu xiu involved. thats one of dead science's most weirdo tracks. i really love it. a pretty daring way for people to first hear them, but i think it speaks accurately for the type of daring they show despite having such strong "indie" leanings. not bland at all even though they are often mellow/sublime.

a simular band that rules is 7 Year Rabbit Cycle.
