What's the last thing you played by Sonic Youth? And what did you think of it?

I've just played Murray Street again and now realize just how great it is.

the only sonic youth i ever listen is the track (silence) from the whitey album over and over.

some of a thousand leaves sounds like a rough mix or unfinished record. kinda raw. i like that about it. the midsection of hits.. is boring to me, but thurston's vocals are nice

i just pulled down the recent live set from paris, some radio broadcast with all the new material. pretty dope. that and i busted out piece for jetsun dolma after not hearing it for a while. it's still great

Last thing I played was...umm... Murray Street like a month ago. I thought it was just as good as it was before I heard it again.

Played 'Murray Street' whilst cooking a nice curry on Thursday.

Unsurprisingly, it's still the best LP ever made by anyone.

I've been listening to Rather Ripped. Trying to absorb it as much as possible. Not a bad record, but a bit of a let down. doesnt exactly meet SY standards.

Give it many more chances!!!!;)

I just bought "Sonic Youth" the re-issue today, haven't heard it yet though.

i think the last SY i listened to was Sonic Nurse last week. Nurse is one of the best albums to listen to at night.

no, wait. i listened to their cover of "Ca Plane Pour Moi" on my mp3 player a few days ago.

well it's not really sonic youth...weapons of ass destruction and its fantastic.

Today I woke up with Hold That Tiger
and went on with Hidros3.....well not actually a sy album, but also very nice

It's an awesome way to start Confusion Is Sex, and I love Thurston's voice on this track. I think this song has a creepy feel to it, and I always seem to be listening to it before bed.

this is like the "what are you listening to?" thread but for people with no music collections or imagination.

I'm playing nurse again alot. It's a great album.
