i have a p3 laptop without a DVD drive. i need a new machine because last i remember civ required you to play w/ the actual disk in the machine. which is not comfortable when you use an external dvd drive.

your excuses for cowardice do not apply to others.

actually, I prefer Star Wars if we want to get technical. Star Trek is for dorks (Khan is the exception).

I suggested Civ IV because we can play by email (I won't be able to play from work). now buy the damn game so we can get down to business.

honestly, it would be more fun if more people played. there's not much of an "intrigue" aspect to 1 vs. 1. the more people we have play, the more interesting the game would be.
