Is this show worth seeing, i know whirlwind heat is a pretty sick live band (seen em open for beck)...it is a night before the sy cbgb show, maybe thurston might show up?

i kinda like Whirlwind Heat - funny guys and catchy music

i havent heard Whirlwind, but Be yr own pet suck live!, so i'd avoid their set.

Damn, Be Your Own Pet are opening for them in DC. Their music isn't that unbearable, but I guess they don't pull it off live according to you guys. I've been pretty disappointed with their openers other than Stereolab.....and The Liars were ok *sighs.
