Nightmares of the Sick
 

Nightmares are a son of a bitch when you're sick [with cold, in my case]. Yesterday morning I had the worse nightmare I've had in years. A couple of things I remember from it: a tall, bald, robust, threatening man who might have known voodoo; I found myself in a dark room without an exit; my mom in a movie theater completely frightened and disturbed to tears by a previous scene; I can't remember the scene, but at the time I understood why my mom was so disturbed by it and everytime I thought about the scene I was completely horrified.

Okay, so I don't remember the dream well enough to do justice to it.

Do any of you have frightening nightmares when you're sick? As a kid I had them more frequently. Fortunately this time I only had one.

Oh, whenever I awake from a nightmare in fear, I'm usually paralyzed for as long as it takes me to calm down.

I haven't been really sick in a while. A hangover here and a cold there, but not really sick.

I still get nightmares, though.
