okay, this looks a rather tasty deal. i was gonna go secondhand but then i saw this. any reason why i shouldn't? . . . . . . |
that's a pretty nice combination. Adding a 8 ohm 2x10 cab would add more "definition" to the sound and unleash all the head power. but you can always do that in the future when you'll find a good deal for that.

if you feel like doing something really cool, choose a decent bass head and have a 2x12 bassbomb cabinet custom built from this guy:
www.earcandycabs.com it's light, amazing volume and frequency response. doesn't cost much, too bad that the price includes shipping for usa but shipping overseas is kind of a pain in the ass with import rates and stuff...still, with "weak" dollar... |
thanks guys. the bass bomb idea is a nice one definately but i don't think for the 600 i could better that ampeg head . . . plus it's in england with free shipping . .
is it just too obvious to go for ampeg though? . .. or is it common sense? |
nah, it's a matter of "sound" mostly. You know, that "ampeg" sound :D ... if you like it (and it suits well your initial "description") that's quite a deal.

thanks nicfit. you've reassured me enough to go for it. :)
i can't see anything better for the money. |
