i still can't believe that i managed to fit 12 songs in 10 minutes and that, at that point, the monosodic discography amounted to 10 minutes worth of songs.

Here's what you need to know: Shearing Pinx are a psychotic psychedelic explosion of sound, as much a celebration as it is a devastation, their side here is live and BRUTAL. Monosodic are Marcos Hassan's blastbeated scum crusted power electronics no wave grind band, presenting 12 portions in 10 minutes.

I was going to start a thread about Shearing Pinx but I've found this. Just bumped to say that everything that I've heard by them is cool. Mutators is another band that kick butt too. Their ''Instinct'' is such a good song.

regardless of the fact they did a split with my band, i love them dearly; they are a great band, they can be very aggressive then have another release that's pure noise then have something that's all like punk songs and so on.

i feel very honored that they contacted me and called mxsx their favorite new band.

I WANT THIS, how did you hook up with shearing pinx, im sorta curious.

they contacted me, heard monox on myspace and asked me if i wanted to do a split.

i think they still have copies, i'm all out.

yes i was!! like i said, regardless of anything i had to do with them, i liked them before we came to contact and i still do like them a whole bunch.

I've wanted to get this for a while, when I saw the split on their myspace a long-ass time ago I was like, "fuck, that rules!"
And I'm not sure if anyone saw my thread, but curiously enough, my band is doing a split with ShPx too! I don't know when it's set to be released, but fairly soon, I assume.

And so you guys know, Ultra Snake RULES. Also, check out their split with Silver Daggers (not many left, I don't think) and the Haruspex 7" EP destroys too. I have a few other releases, but those are my favourites.
While yr at it, the split with Stamina Mantis is thrilling...

they are a great band, i'm glad people are listening to them.

i mentioned you, marcos, as someone who always gets the word out about them (and other excellent bands).

he emailed me back and said he wanted to do a split with scissor shock so me and booe spent the past 2 days recording 10 minutes of material for it. there's a new song from the split over on our myspace. sweet.
