are you guys really that wanted that you need to hide when your online?

it always comes across as a dick thing to do

I don't like the feature where people can click on your name and see which threads you're reading or whatever your other recent activities are.
With invisibility, this is a non-issue.
I also have signatures turned off.
It's all just exercising options and personal preferences.
