itunes! help! help! itunes! help me! itunes!

There, that should be sufficiently annoying to get some attention :) Does anybody have a copy of itunes that they could oh so generously upload here? I know it's free and all, but I CANNOT seem to download it from apple, I've tried for the past 3 days. It starts and then does nothing. Can somebody PLEASE help me?

Do yourself a favor and don't download it.

Is there another way to get music on an ipod? I don't actually have my ipod yet, but I want to use it as soon as I get it, so I was hoping to be prepared...

I think it comes with iTunes pre-installed so you don't have to worry about it. Personally, I think iTunes is a great digital jukebox, the best I've ever used. I don't really have anyway to upload it for you, but you don't really need anyone to do that if you have an iPod on the way.

Awesome, good to know, thanks!

You can try Floola or Yamipod, 2 iTunes alternatives, quite popular, quite intuitive and more importantly, much, much smaller footprint and uses less resources. Floola is better, IMHO.

I'm sure there's a way to get iTunes out of your iPod, and load something else, but is that intuitive?

iTunes doesn't reside on your iPod. It's a program on your computer that allows your iPod to communicate with it and to transfer files from it to your iPod. That's it. Whether you have iTunes or not, your iPod still works fine and dandy, no problems. And you never have to put anything on your iPod except music. One last thing, those 2 programs I mentioned? They can transfer music and video from your iPod to your PC, which iTunes only does for stuff purchased from iTunes' store.

Huh, that's really useful knowledge, thanks.

there is an opensource firmware player for any digital audio player at rockbox.org, itunes is the best for organising audio libraries
