Love for Elliott
 

Everyone talk about Elliott Smith, and cry about how amazing he was and why the fuck he had to leave us so god damn early.
I'm listening to the self-titled album right now, and thinking "Fuck.:("
He was honestly one of the best musicians to even live on this planet, has touched so many people, fuck, changed lives, I'm sure. He's got me through some hard times, as with lots of people, and he just happened to die on my birthday (it was meant to be!)
So, Elliott, even though you can't see this, thank you. You are sorely fucking missed.

My freshman year of college, one of my friends in the dorm played Waltz #2 (XO) on a loop for about a month straight.

Neat, I listened to his self titled on the bus home this morning. And part of New Moon. Man, I love "Angel in the Snow".

yeah, hard to believe it's been 4 years already, fuck! my friend played at some elliott tribute show tonight, bit pissed that i had to work otherwise i'd have gone down.

i really tried to make myself like his stuff, i really wanted to... but the only song i really like is needle in the hay.

What do you think is in the way of you liking his music?

i dunno, just not my cup o tea i guess. needle in the hay is fucking awesome though. i think i tmight be his singing, haven't listened to him in a long time honestly.

All his albums are good. But I think the self titled is amazing.
