kicks you've been on lately

musical or otherwise
i've gone off on a space rock binge lately.

Savage Clone 10.26.2007 01:22 AM

I think my whole life is a space rock binge.

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 01:25 AM

space rock is a constant in my life but i have periods where i'll go on week(s) long excursions through genres. last month it was glam rock. sometimes i'll just listen to dinosaur for 3 days straight.
non-musically i've been getting back into my photography.

ALIEN ANAL 10.26.2007 01:27 AM

wtf is space rock

Savage Clone 10.26.2007 01:27 AM

My wife and I both got new bikes this week, so I've been really into that the past few days. Transportation or recreation, it's quite a pleasure right now.
I have to say it's the most perfectly functional vehicle I've ever had.

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 01:29 AM

Ozric Tentacles are the most objectionable band on that page if you ask me.

Alex's Trip 10.26.2007 01:33 AM

My latest kick? This gaming rocking chair that has a speakers in it, that you can plug your ipod into. It's awesome.

i know you said not to ask... but you see city of men? mini-series by the guy who did city of god?

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 01:35 AM

acid mothers temple, pink floyd (particularly with syd barrett), spiritualized, spacemen 3, and bowie when all his lyrics were rambling on about moon rocks and starmen are all excellent
is this turning into a thread about the definition/my opinions of space rock? apologies

hawkwind are fantastic as well.

Well it's a good thing I am not you: the person who is afraid to admit he owns nice things, even on the anonymous internet.

no... they have it there? i'm going to bust my hourly limit in the first week of the month. that or i'll have to upgrade my plan.

but anyway, the stuff i've seen... mostly crap. i did enjoy watching the whole 1st season of 30 rock during a night of insomnia (20+ episodes?). the rest... i better not say.

maybe it's the winter blues, or quitting smoking. anyway, i'm smoking again. i need my neurons.

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 01:41 AM

i myself am fine with having furniture that is devoid of things that can electrocute me.

But it was on some weird sale, or something. They are normally like $150, but it ended up costing like $30.

The chair is nice, because our xbox is now in a new room that contains no music playing equipment. If I wanted to listen to music from my computer while playing a video game (which is what I use the chair for), I'd have to turn it up really loud, and with 4 other people living in the house (who all bitch about the music I listen to), that isn't practical.

Cantankerous 10.26.2007 01:46 AM

and i'm going to go recline leisurely in one of them pieces of furniture and maybe if i get lucky i'll drift off into dreamland and wake too early in a puddle of my own saliva.
see you, space cowboy.

good deal though.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but it is actually really nice. Like...good quality speakers, and the chair is comfy enough.
