i finally finished the book i've been working on.
 

so, i've not been around here much in the past 10 months. i've been diligently working on a bunch of things that are about to see the light of day. the first of these things is my new poetry/illustration/picture dictionary/stencil folio, FORE. The book has no ink in it. it's a collection of cut-out stencils in a signed/numbered edition of 1,000 books--all of which are made by hand here in my studio.

some of the stencils should look familiar to longtime visitors of sonicyouth.com.

printed matter has the books for sale now. i'm selling them a little cheaper directly.

there's also an edition of 500 signed/numbered laser-etched and cut 11x18 posters that i'm selling.
these are going pretty damned fast though. (everything shown as black in this image is actually negative space. the lighter colored type is etched stencil board)

you could just hit the poster with spray paint.
it's really just a big stencil.

thurston and i are gonna release this ourselves--which means i'll never make a penny on it. i'm trying to do projects like FORE to finance the weird documentary projects i do that never turn a cent.

other things include a new line of rugs to benefit victims of global land conflicts, a line of wallpaper, some handmade/hand-printed ceramic tiles, a 10-part film about the boredoms 77drum performance (films are done. i don't know when VICE is planning on releasing them. they've had them since september and the boredoms have already approved them all), my literate clothing zine, a picture dictionary about the language i made, more cycling jerseys, "gay fucking sneakers", etc.

you do. that's actually the intended purpose of the book. it's bound with snap-rings to enable this.
