KARP
I'm listening to their self titled album. Pretty good hardcore. And I generally don't like hardcore.

I had a tough time with that guy's voice at the time (as well as when he was in Tight Bros From Way Back When), but I have finally cracked the nut with the musical behemoth that is Big Business. Perhaps I should revisit Karp now. BB are tremendous live.

There's a local band around here called Carp. You should check them out.

Rocky Mountain Rescue
Ya Ya Yaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! Ya Ya Yaaaaaa!!!! Ya Ya Yaaaaa!!!!!! |
ohh yeah, self titled lp rules!!! one of the most giant guitar sounds in rock.

Hands down the best employers of a school bell.

agreed, karp was great.

They played my 30th birthday, and I miss them dearly.
Chris played in the Dead Air Fresheners for quite a while too after Karp (to my knowledge the only group he's been in since.) Jarrad being in the Melvins now is a real trip, but definitely deserved. Scott was actually my wife's first boyfriend in high school, and I worked with him for years at Thekla in Oly, so we're still bumming about losing him. Musically, I think I like Suplex the best, but it's all really great. They just had such a good time unleashing all that power. |
I should acquire those cds, I love their sludgy repetition.
The Whip also sounded good. |
The only exposure I've had to Karp is through the YoYo compilations, and I've always been meaning to pick up an album but haven't ever gotten around to it.
Good shit. |
