Random question here...

How does T keep his lead in his guitar??

I've seen him throw his instruments around by it in various noise jams.

I try the same and it just falls out and cuts dead (a tad embarrasing live onstage)...

Just wondering how it was done

Some kind of lock in device??

When I saw them, he jumped, and as it seemed like there was about to be a big explosion, he accidentally ripped the patchcord out.

I just put it through the strap... not through, but like.. between the strap and the guitar/pin.....nawmeen?

no, seriously, I have no idea, never threw around stuff while playing :(.

He uses crazy glue.

But the strap usually ends up totally removed from the guitar by the end of it...

And he can pull the lead out with ease if needs to at the end of a jam...

maybe he "tightens" the contact on the inside, so that only a "precise" perpendicular pull will take it out? no idea...

you can get special leads which lock the jack inside the guitar. when you need to remove it you hold in two buttons on the metal casing and pull out.

maybe he just puts it in properly!

this mostly likely is the case, i think i remember seeing a video in reference to what you are mentioning where the band is playing the outro to "Pattern Recognition" and Thurston did some total guitar abandenment as he was doing during the end of this song and then he dragged the guitar across the stage by pulling on the guitar cable, if you have a high quality "tight" jack in your guitar and the right guitar cable plug locking mechanism so this can be done.

That's not a random question. I found it very specific and well thought out.
