also i think of the 3 songs up there the one that SY fans might enjoy the most is "don't be afraid"

the band themselves i don't think listen to sy as much as to try imitate their style. they're classically trained and play on destroying music theory in their own way, that's about it for sy comparisons.

i brought it here because i personally consider sonic youth the most influential band since the ramones. so i wondered what other sy fans might think of the illustrated.

also we just found out yesterday that the venue in atlanta that was having us cancelled the show for dec. 16th... anyone in the ATL up for a house show?

it was a mix between a house show already and i believe the loft. not too sure. we're heading from George Washington University in DC and have a podcast interview with haveyouheardmusic.blogspot.com in atlanta. we'd like to still make it to atlanta.

i listened to a few tracks on cen.quo.akt.
