yeah i like the early Sonic games before it became 3D and shitty

i wasnt playing video games when this was popular
and if i was i was playing PS

i played sonic once or twice on a ripoff of a sega genesis which i have. it was really cool. but as always, i prefer mario.

actually, final fantasy 7, silent hill 2, resident evil (the entire body of work), final fantasy 3, lunar: the silver star (the sega CD version), and xenogears are all tied for the greatest game ever.

although sonic is good and fast and stuff, he just ain't good enough.

Sonic rush and a couple on the GBA were good too.... but yeah sonic has really (excuse the pun) gone down-hill. And i even liked the sonic adventures to some degree... but the later games are just un tollerably awful, awful games.

the games that were on dreamcast/gamecube/wii where sonic is all 3-d and intense were pretty great, though.

all those games (aside from silent hill 2 and i never played the silver star but i heard good stuff about it) are some of my favorite games. i would also include shadowrun as one of the best games ever.

i liked sonic on sega, but i liked the sonic adventures game on dreamcast better.

The greatest game ever is Super Metroid. Though, yes, games like Lunar and especially Xenogears are up there. Gotta disagree with Silent Hill 2, though -- I HATED that game. Woulda been a cool movie though.

Sonic 2 is one of my favorite games ever, but Sonic 3/& Knuckles jumped the shark. The last really good Sonic game was CD. The 3D ones are horrible except for the first Adventure game.

I have a ROM of Sonic CD but my emulator doesn't support saving on Sega CD.

silent hill 2 was my shit.

and yeah. super metroid is right up there, too. i always forget about non-rpg/horror games, though. i'd actually go as far as including the entire metroid collection, because those games are baller!

i used to play this a whole lot as a kid. i beat it about 5 times and i'll still play it nowadays if i find a copy.
