Haven't you just seen how there's - except for Thurston's Friend - only covers on their myspace now? Superstar, Electricity, I'm Not There, Santa Doesn't Cop Out On Dope, Beat On The Brat. I'm sure their next album will be a cover album. Or that they'll release a "Sonic Youth - Complete Covers 1981-2008" boxset next year.

My New House is the Fall. The Beat Happening cover was "Black Candy"... I think just Kim, Thurston and Epic Soundtracks though.

That CDR is pretty common... it's cleverly titled THE COVERS. But it is a good collection.

I believe Epic Sndtrks had something to do with the Sonic Life book as well... the discography maybe, though I can't remember really. I'll have to dig it out and check.
