The "pro-anorexia"

I've stumbled on that - unofficial - vid on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bnosNg4S6O8

I don't get how people can advocate anorexia , anorexia is terrible.

Some people are really just messed up that they think they are helping. These people need serious help, all of those girls.

HaydenAsche 01.09.2008 08:11 PM

If I wasn't already sickly thin I'd become anorexic to get there. It's so hot right now.

to quote george carlin:

"rich cunt, doesn't wanna eat? FUCK HER."

Edit: Nevermind.

I remember wanting one of these shirts a while back:

[And if anyone was wondering why it looked like the guy above me posted this a few seconds ago, it was cause he was logged into the same school computer I'm on. Oops.]

I don't see how overly thin people are supposed to look good.
I remember when those first photos of Kate Moss came out back in the 90s which was a contrast to the supermodels of the 80s. Kate Moss was seen as representing an imperfect body image ie crooked teeth, small breasts, short, no curves (too thin), ordinary face. But now this is seen as something people should aspire to and people actually go to great lengths to look like this to the point that they put their health in danger. It's amazing what media can do to people's perceptions of almost anything.

drrrtyboots 01.09.2008 08:38 PM

That man looks fake.

I think it was also some model named Twiggy that promoted the... twiggy look.

But yeah. Quite a contrast from the 'voluptiousness' of the mid 20th century models.

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:05 PM

i'm almost 30 lbs underweight for my height and i look fucking great. all of you, shut up. i'm convinced that i'm supposed to be this size and that i weighed too much before because the bones in my chest still don't stick out (Which they should not, that's TOO bony.)
i appreciate voluptuous women, not fat women. and voluptuousness just does not work on me. i'm rail thin, yeah, but i still have my tits and THANK GOD they are a manageable size now. still large for my body size, but i look good.
anyway, you guys should not be ragging on anorexics or pro anorexia or whatever because youve never been there, so don't judge. just like if you've never BEEN or been close to a drug addict: you don't know what it's like, so SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTHS.

!@#$%! 01.09.2008 09:07 PM

please don't take this personally.

we all make fun of ourselves and others-- it's the interweb after all.

btw, you look great-- huge feet and all :p

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:09 PM

it is some fucked up shit though... my ex at one point was under 100 lbs (she's 5'9")... landed herself in the ER and contracted chronic bronchitis...

the really thin look has gone in and out of fashion over the years, it goes back but further than Twiggy, I was just trying to refer to a trend that has happened within my lifetime

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:19 PM

all my uggs are size 8

and twiggy was awesome. i'm so tired of these fucking feminist women like kathleen hanna being all fat and sassy. sorry, i am.
