anyone else like these guys..... recently discovered their new album even in their midst and have slowly been getting thier back catalogue. amazing band. they gave me the same kind of hit accross the back of the head as i got the first time i ever heard ruins... anyone else feel their love?

Ahleuchatistas are excellent! Even in the Midst was easily one of my favorite records of last year. I still haven't got my hands on their first album, On the Culture Industry, but of the three others I'd have to say 2006's What You Will is their finest hour. They some how find a way to sound sloppy and deliberate simultaneously.

I'm trying to think of similar bands but none immediately come to mind. They are that good.

on the culture industry is ok. what you will is fantastic tho. im amazed no one else likes these. i mean ruins are huge here!

the guys second album the same and the other, has just been rereleased with bonus tracks on john zorns tzadik label. go and get it!
