Two. Converse are cool I guess, but they are extremely uncomfortable in my opinion. Vans can come out with pretty stupid looking shoes sometimes, but these are pretty nice.

I have to admit I like the converse high tops, even though I think Pumas and Airwalks (sort of the old school skater preference) are a bit more versatile and comfortable. My everyday knockabout shoes are green suede Pumas. Can you find Pumas or Airwalks in your neck of the woods? I think they'd also be cheaper than the Converse.

#2 for sure. I like the vans slip ons but tons of people have them, so I guess the laces will do.

Chuck Taylors are cool as fuck, obviously, but they're one hell of a cliche.

The second Vans are good shoes. They make an all black pair which are cool. But, check your K-mart or Big W or the likes, as here you can get identical shoes as that, and I mean identical just without the Vans logo (they have no logos or brands on them) for like $8. Unfortunately they don't make my size in them, they only go to 12.
