Fuck, he's hip now?

Savage Clone 01.22.2008 05:14 PM

He totally needs the exposure that can only be brought about via this particular tastemaking powerhouse.

Everyneurotic 01.22.2008 07:02 PM

fuck the hipsters! gram parsons was amazing!!

gmku 02.01.2008 03:54 PM

Sorry, 'oo's this Gram fellow then?

Rob Instigator 02.01.2008 04:16 PM

some sort of Hee Haw character?

Savage Clone 02.01.2008 04:24 PM

With or without a tragic mystique, country-rock is still pretty goddamn annoying.

gmku 02.01.2008 04:37 PM

No, it's not.

Savage Clone 02.01.2008 04:40 PM

Hey, I tried to like this stuff, I really did. I know a lot of people with great taste who rate Mr. Parsons very highly. I can't do it.
A little Burrito Bros. is as far as I can go.

And yes, he is to blame for being a formative influence on a lot of really terrible bands.

Rob Instigator 02.01.2008 04:58 PM

all that SHIT sucks.

Everyneurotic 02.01.2008 08:27 PM

country, old country, rules; i love it.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 02.01.2008 08:52 PM

I like stuff like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., and Patsy Cline. I think all of that stuff is rather good.

But new CMT country makes me want to drive a spike through my head.

gmku 02.01.2008 11:00 PM

Gram is very cool. International Submarine Band, Flying Burrito Bros., the solo Gram LPs. I love this stuff.
