Tommy used to work on the docks
Unions been on strike
Hes down on his luck...its tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says weve got to hold on to what weve got
cause it doesnt make a difference
If we make it or not
Weve got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

Actually, I like 'Livin' on a Prayer'--it's one of my secret weaknesses. I'm far more ashamed of it than my fondness for old Archies and Partridge Family records. As for 'Bad Medicine', Did you ever notice (as some smartass once pointed out in Spin or Rolling Stone) that the chorus sounds like, "Thoreau is like Ralph Emerson / Ralph Emerson is what I read / shake it up..."...?

Reminds me of the Saturday Night Live sketch where Bon Jovi (played by himself when he was hosting) is telling the rest of the members of the band that they should call themselves "Bon Jovi" and they are giving him shit for it...haha.

su x* 01.26.2008 01:06 AM

coincidentially saw (some of) their concert yesterday (of course didnt pay for it)

very lame,
and at the end he just said 'bye'

someone wasted their money...

I used to like Blaze of Glory, when I heard it last saturday and I think I'll listen to it again soon. The guy who played Sweet Child O' Mine didn't like it though. ("eww, Bon Jovi?")

i cannot believe this thread got so many replies.

bon jovi has a few good tunes. livin' on a prayer is not one of them, if for no other reason than drunk people like to sing it. it is only slightly less annoying than when someone plays "sweet caroline" and drunk people add the "so good, so good, so good." wanted dead or alive blows LOAP away. if they didn't sing wanted dead or alive, i could care less if they existed.
