i finally decided on JoCo as a name (a play on my first and last name, and because i like SOCO so much), and have a few things up on the page. i would like some "constructive critisism" on the songs/pieces. keep in mind it's my first tiem recording anything and there all in the "demo stage" (i used audacity to record and there's alot of "hiss"). so if you have a second let me know what you think. i'm especially proud of "floating slowly" and "guitar and bass". thanks in advance.

I wasn't overly keen on Fort Worh; the rest of it's pretty good. There's a sleazy precision about it, and it's not noise (a good thing). Personally, I'd prefer more like Phase Noise.

thanks glice. fort worth was my attempt at somethign more "actual" song based. i have a few more things i'm working on right now that are in between phase noise, floating slowly & guitar & bass. i like doing that stuff alot more. keep it coming.

In order of preference:

Guitar and Bass - sounds very spontaneous
Floating Slowly
Phase Noise (although I'd have called it something else)
Fort Worth

Interesting stuff. Floating Slowly is really good. The only criticism I would have is that Phase Noise seems to drag on a bit, without doing a lot, it could be improved (in my opinion) if there were more things going on - keyboard effects etc.
I like Guitar and Bass as well.

not too bad avant, although i think generally there is too much fx on everything, except for phase noise which needs it.

lol, yeah i have to use the fx to mask my playing. just "playing" the guitar is boring to me. i called phase noise that because that's what it was, i didn't think it warranted an actual name and it does kind adrag on. it's only up there still because i'm not finished w/ what i'm going to replace it w/. YES! guitar & bass was totally spontaneous! from thought to having it online took 2 hours! i did it at 4 am after the bar one night... i had been listening to move away by sy from the demonlover sdtk (one of my favorite things sy has ever done) and all i need from the new radiohead album! although i like it enough now i might give it an actual name... any suggestions? thanks for all the kind words and critisism.

thank you mr. chatham. i took fort worth off because i emailed it to a friend and he's going to attempt to put drums to it or something or other. it wasn't that good anyways, probably my least favorite. check the page tomorrow if you get a chance, i'm going to add something new called "there is a very bright light in the corner of this room" (working title).
