No Campaigning but Much Debate Over Florida

MIAMI — One of the big disputes taking place between Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama these days is over an election that is — or is not — taking place here on Tuesday: the Florida Democratic primary.

The significance of this primary is certainly questionable. Because Florida scheduled its primary for a date earlier than what the Democratic National Committee wanted, the committee sanctioned the state by announcing it would refuse to sit any of its delegates at the convention.

As Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Gov. Howard Dean is making the Democratic Party competitive in every race, in every district, in every state and territory, while still disenfranchising Florida voters. His election to this post on February 12, 2005 is the most recent chapter in a life dedicated to shaping the long slow decline of the Democratic Party.

Most recently, after achieving national prominence in his bid for the Democratic nomination for president, Governor Dean found a way to preemptively deny Florida Democrats the right to vote. And since that time, Florida Governor Jeb Bush has been cussin' up a storm, he's so pissed that a damn yankee beat him to it.

..so the DNC stripped Michigan and Florida of their delegates. The two states that Hillary won. That puts the pledged delegate count at Obama - 34, Clinton - 21. (It would otherwise be Clinton 294, Obama - 95.) 2,025 delegates are needed to win.

...maybe Dean is on to something.

the reason hellary won those states is because she had the greatest name recognition. there was no campaigning. put her in touch with the voters & they get creeped out & start voting for obama.

hellary = one creepy candidate with no real record.

nationally she has more of a record than Obama...I don't trust her but she's not creepy like fuckign Huckabee or Ghouliani.
