According to the New York Times, recent polls conducted by The Field Poll indicate that Clinton's lead over Obama in California is smaller than the reported margin of error.

Clinton 36%
Obama 34%
Undecided 18%
Other 12%

The sample of 511 likely Democratic primary voters has a margin of sampling error of +/- 4 percentage points.
