I don't care about the White Stripes' music but I just find it really stupid from the journalist to make a suit about "her privacy having been violated" while it was a public broadcast.

you know what? if you can sue and win, go for it. regardless of what a lot of people may think, the world revolves around money and the more you have, the better. i'm sorry to have to say that, but it's true. on a scale of importance in the real world, money far outweighs the value (no pun intended) of "credibility" or whatever the fuck you want to call it.

i think the white stripes are worth a bit more than $70,000...major label contracts can be quite lucrative especially when you take into consideration touring and album sales.

well i don't necessarily agree with the reason she's suing them, but let's take the example of the woman who spilled hot coffee from mcdonalds into her lap and sued them because they didn't put a caution label on the cup. it's the principle of the thing, not the specifics. you must look at the big picture. mcdonalds and the white stripes and whoever else you can think of have enormous amounts of money, and if you've got the opportunity to capitalize on it, fucking do it! i'm not saying it's right or that i agree with suing over petty bullshit, however if there is a lot at stake financially and you've got nothing to lose, why the hell not?

Most people who will sue a corporation are still just money hungry and would sue you for your home and everything else you own, if they got a chance.

yes, they do, and they will take every last penny from you if they can. i myself wouldn't do that unless i really hated the fuckers, but most people would have no problem doing that because they don't have the capacity to apply the situation to themselves. but some people deserve to get fucked, and all the better if you can get some money out of it.
