Archaic instruments in modern contexts

Can anybody recommend some artists who use archaic musical instruments in modern compositional / improv contexts? ( i.e. Keiji Haino and the hurdy gurdy or Jozef Van Wissem and the baroque lute). Just curious.

My band opened for Jozef van Wissem. He's really great, true genious.

Thomas Lehn uses this very old analogue synthesizer. Been to his concert (playing with Konk Pack along with Roger Turner etc.) and it was a real blast.
