should I ditch class today?

So it is 10 30 am. I have a class at 1pm until 4 pm. I'm meant to start work at 5 pm.

To get to class its about a two hour train ride, at least. Same with getting home.. So basically I'd have to leave very soon.. to get there for 1pm. Then leave early from class.. at least 3.. to make it home for work.

I'm really... really thinking this is too much hastle. But maybe I'm being lazy. I just can't tell.

eh.

ALIEN ANAL 02.13.2008 06:29 PM

yeh fuck it
have the day off and do something fun

And its printmaking so its usually a bit of a difficult one to do at home. Plus I left early from the class on tuesday so I already feel a bit bad. But.. its just coincidental that this is the class that is before work tongiht.

All Id be doing when I got there, is shelacking a print plate though. And there is no way it would be dry enough to print today. Nor do I have any paper to print on atm. I could make another plate at school, but I could also be planning out another one here at home. Sketching etc.

I do have shelack at home also.

But I'm going to face the wrath of my boyf when he gets home tonight, if I ditch class.

argh.

I'm just good at making a habbit of ditching classes, and I dont want to do that. But Im going to quit my job soon and find something that is more flexible, because in reality school work is more important, its just hard to fit in work that is structured.. And I dont want to get fired. Where as for one class I can catch up.

YES

Will your schedule always be so difficult with this class? Can you arrange so that you don't have to work after this class in the future? That's a schedule I would call completely insane.

yeh, it is. Its sucky because my boss atm doesnt really want me to (read, wont let me) go casual work again, I work part time 15 hours, and therefore some of them are on a thurs or fri night. So yeh. its sucky and Im going to get a new job. unfort though Im the kind of person who doesnt bail on someone if they ask me to work.. Im more inclined to re-organise my stuff to fit them in.

ok great. Id pretty much decided that I wasnt going. But needed someone to tell me that this was okay. heh.

Um... they should allow you the minimum time to let you go back to work from school. But I'm an American, what do I know.

phoenix 02.13.2008 07:06 PM

Here they work around your school schedule, what it seems from what you said they don't.

Disgruntled Youth 02.13.2008 07:19 PM

as long as you are not paying for it, I'd say go for it...

floatingslowly 02.13.2008 07:28 PM
