yay! i say yay. after their abortive effort to play ireland 2 years ago the markers land in april. unfortunatley for us who have a 175 mile round trip to see them, they play 2 days before the sebadoh gig!!! ahhhh we need decentralisation in ireland badly!!!!

oh yeah. getting ticket... real cheap ticket.... tomorrow.
as for boss, i love it. empty bottles and body rot... the 2 perfectly contrasting styles of the streamlined markers......

i'm so excited as well. this is going to be my second time seeing them live. can't wait. did you get da tickets alreday, Paul?

Ive been entirely won over by them since hearing Boss. Unfortunately I heard Boss a little too late and never got to see them do it live. If you get the chance, jump at it.

boss is so much better than anything theyve done. i thought they were lousy when they were just all out noise, just a rip off of harry pussy, a band way too good to ever be emulated. but ive always admired musians being able to put noise in the context of a real song over all else.

dang. any UK dates tba I wonder? if not, might finally visit Ireland.

I got tickets yesterday. bought two, coz don't want to go on my own. I might be videotaping it, so then recording would end up on dime some time after (for those, who've missed boss material live - see it at least like that)

any word on if somebody else will play with them and who would it be?


yeah, I know what you mean, but despite just noise it was cool see them live doing impro...very, hmmm, awesome. hope that with boss material it will same experience.

nipe, no support yet. small venue tho, its upstairs in the new mini venue. some great bands coming there soon. fuck buttons and xiu xiu and pissed jeans..........

Well When i seen them in october in Oklahoma city, Ok They had Leah Quimby on a "Synth" Keyboard ..yea it was really Good..Like Organ sounds , Bass Lines..Noises..

leah is still playing with them! cool! i thought she gave it all up!

the best magik markers vid clip was the one from a couple of years back in the flywheel with j mascis on drums. awesome shit!

ok, got my tickets and with only 5 days left to go to the markers date... my ticket number is #11!
