Moshe has been trying to persuade me to visit Israel for that, but my girlfriend isn't keen.

I'm going with my mum to the acoustic Masada show. She is cool. :)

Is acoustic Masada the same as Masada always used to be - John Zorn, Joey Baron, Dave Douglas, Greg Cohen? Or is "acoustic" yet another variation upon the theme?

i'll see the electric version too two days later.

I love seeing "acoustic" Masada play. The first time I saw them was at the Knitting Factory, the first time that I went to New York. The whole trip was full of highlights, but that show was probably the greatest of them all.

i definatly want to see electric masada, but i can only afford one more ticket, so im debating between cobra, or moonchild/acoustic masada.
what do you think?
btw wouldnt it be great if masada played at masada?

Baptista is a fantastic percussionist to watch. And Ribot is a great guitarist.

yeah, ive seen baptista before and he was amazing.
ribot is one of my all time favorite guitarists, so i am really thrilled about seeing him

That date coincides with a date in Antwerp and a four day Zorn special in Paris.

Yeah... I posted this particular date for the benefit of Nicfit... who's not around today to appreciate it...

for those on the east coast, outside nyc, there is a zorn date at the ICA in boston in april. i believe its a masada string trio show ... i have seen zorn in 3 different ensembles (electric masada, bar khokba, conductor for string premeire) and all have been completely mind blowing. definitely recommend trying to catch any kind set by him ...
